Little joys are precious. Life is beautiful when we choose happiness in small things. And we can cherish the little joys often, if not always. All it takes is an attitude of gratitude and mindfulness.
When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around. — Willie Nelson
Gratitude brings joy. Being thankful for what we have is the key to happiness. Imagining life without things and people that we start taking for granted helps to realize how important they are, also known as negative visualization in Stoicism. We must express the gratitude towards the sacrifices of our family, their love and care, and how blessed we are to have them.
Pets are a bundle of joy. They brighten up the day with unlimited cuteness. Time spent with pets is therapeutic and dissolves stress magically. Happiness is a walk with my Alsatian and the best time of my day. Joy is playing with my kitty. My home is a paradise because of these living angels.
Nothing is more beautiful than the loveliness of the woods before sunrise. — George Washington Carver
The smell of woods, misty and foggy greens, the dewdrops and drizzles captivates the mind. Cherish the beautiful sunrise. The golden rays uplift the spirit with the beginning of a new day, new possibilities.
“When you arise in the morning think of what a privilege it is to be alive, to think, to enjoy, to love. — Marcus Aurelius
And mindfulness matters. The present moment is the reality that we must connect with. It reduces the emotional burden of past events and future illusions.
The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it. — Thich Nhat Hanh
Life is beautiful with little joys. We have no control over adversity and pandemic, but we do have a choice to be happy. Enjoy the little things in life.
